Helping financially disadvantaged students
A charity supporting aspirational school leavers to fulfil their potential by awarding grants to aid access to further education.
The Dwyer-Hart Foundation was founded in 2001 to provide funding for financially disadvantaged school leavers applying to universities, mainly away from home. Since then, we have funded over one hundred students from the Plymouth and South Hams area at university or further training colleges.
Grants are awarded on an annual basis and are currently valued at up to £3000 per year. They are non-repayable for students who, in the opinion of the Trustees, successfully complete each year at university. Once awarded the funds can be used at your discretion to subsidise the cost associated with your studies such as tuition fees, equipment required for your course or general living expenses.
Grants are awarded annually and are renewable at the discretion of the Trustees.
Awards are granted to those who can demonstrate that they are going to be at a financial disadvantage to their peers due to their home or social circumstances.
